Capture and recognize text,
smoothly.
Here you'll find how to use SnapCapture and what to check when something isn't working. If that doesn't solve the problem, please contact us by email.
Frequently asked questions
QUICK HELPI can't capture my screen.
On a Mac, allow SnapCapture in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording (called "Screen Recording" in some macOS versions). After changing the setting, quit the app with "Quit" in the app menu or ⌘Q, then reopen it.
I can't select an area with a keyboard shortcut.
Some shortcut operations on a Mac require Accessibility permission. Check SnapCapture's setting in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. If the shortcut conflicts with another app, you can use the capture buttons in the SnapCapture window instead.
My scrolling screenshot doesn't stitch together correctly.
After selecting the capture area, keep the pointer in the same place and scroll down gradually. Avoid moving or resizing the window during capture. Animations, fixed elements, or certain page layouts may prevent stitching. If the problem continues, contact us with the capture mode and the steps you took.
The text recognition (OCR) result contains errors.
Japanese and English are supported, but small text, blurry images, or complex layouts can cause recognition errors or text appearing out of order. Try a clearer image, or crop it to just the area you need. Always compare the result with the original and edit it as needed.
Where are my saved images and text?
By default, they are saved to the "SnapCapture" folder inside your "Pictures" folder. The save location is shown on the app's home screen. If you changed the save location, check that folder.
I can't capture a web page.
Check the URL and your internet connection. Pages that require sign-in, sites that restrict access, and pages whose content changes dynamically may not capture as expected. Please don't send us URLs that contain personal or sign-in information.
