Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This policy describes how Maya Takaishi (the developer) handles information in SnapCapture and its support pages. Features vary by operating system, version and distribution channel. Purchase and trial provisions apply to store editions that include those features.

1. Captures and OCR

Screen capture, image stitching and OCR run on your device. Captured images, OCR input files and recognized text are not automatically uploaded to the developer's servers. Results are saved to your selected folder and copied to the clipboard. Cloud folders or OS clipboard synchronization may synchronize this content according to your settings.

2. Local records and permissions

Preferences such as language, format and save location are stored locally. Store editions keep trial-use records in OS-protected storage, such as macOS Keychain, and supplementary local files to manage trial limits and discourage resets. These records are not sent to the developer's servers. Screen capture and certain input or shortcut operations use OS permissions. File operations access selected files and folders. You can manage permissions in OS settings.

3. Network connections

Web capture connects to the URL you enter and the resources that page loads. Those services receive normal connection information, such as your IP address, and may process cookies under their own policies. OCR runs locally; some engines or editions download recognition models on first use. Your OCR images and text are not sent to the model provider for that download.

4. Store purchases

Apple or Microsoft handles purchases, restoration and subscription management. The app receives information needed to check access, such as the product, plan, entitlement status and expiration. No separate developer account or license key is required. The app does not receive your payment card number or store password. Store account and payment data are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy or Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

5. Advertising, analytics and support pages

SnapCapture does not include advertising or tracking SDKs, or automatically send usage or crash reports to the developer. User information is not sold or shared for advertising. OS and store diagnostics follow their own settings and policies. These support pages have no developer-installed analytics or advertising; the hosting provider may process connection information to deliver them.

6. Support emails and retention

If you email us, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to reply, investigate issues and provide support, using an email service for delivery and storage. Remove personal information from screenshots and do not send passwords or payment details. We retain correspondence as needed for support, investigation and follow-up, then delete it when no longer needed, except where retention is legally required. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you provided by email.

7. Managing and deleting information

You can delete saved captures and text from their folders, and overwrite clipboard content. Settings and trial records may remain after uninstalling the app. Manage cloud copies and store purchase records through the relevant services. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.

8. Updates and contact

We update this page when features or practices change. Contact us by email with privacy questions or requests.
